Sea Power

Sea Power is an English alternative rock band that formed in 2000, initially performing under the name British Air Powers before adopting the British Sea Power moniker. The group emerged from a core lineup of Yan, Noble, and Alison Cotton, though Cotton departed early in the band's history. By the time they began recording, the ensemble had expanded to include Hamilton and Woody. The band's membership evolved throughout the 2000s, with Eamon Hamilton joining in 2002 and later departing in 2006, followed by the additions of Phil Sumner and Abi Fry in subsequent years. Known for their experimental approach to alternative rock and post-punk influences, Sea Power has developed a distinctive sound within the indie and art rock landscape.
