Reload is the seventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released in November 1997 through Elektra Records in the United States and Vertigo Records elsewhere. The album followed Load from 1996 and was created during the same recording sessions with additional work in 1997. It marked the band's first studio album to include a guest vocalist and the final studio album featuring bassist Jason Newsted.
