The Bonzo Dog Band

The Bonzo Dog Band was a British comedic music group that emerged from art-school circles in the 1960s. Blending music hall traditions, traditional jazz, and psychedelic sounds with surreal humour and avant-garde sensibilities, the group became widely recognized through their appearance in the Beatles' 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour and their regular presence on the 1968 ITV comedy programme Do Not Adjust Your Set. Active from 1962 to 1970, the Bonzos distinguished themselves through their satirical approach to pop and rock, creating a distinctive sound that merged comedy with experimental musical arrangements.
