"A Deeper Love" was written by American producers Robert Clivillés and David Cole and performed by them as Clivillés & Cole with vocalist Deborah Cooper. Released through Columbia Records in 1991, the track achieved their fifth number-one position on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. While it reached number 83 on the soul singles chart and number 44 on the pop chart domestically, it performed better internationally, charting at number 15 in the UK and number eight on the Dutch Top 40.
