This Kiss composition debuted in 1975 as the opening single from their third album, Dressed to Kill. The studio recording charted at number 68 on Billboard's singles list, surpassing their earlier single "Kissin' Time" which reached 89. A live rendition released in October 1975 performed considerably better, eventually climbing to number 12 in early 1976, marking the first of six Top 20 entries for the band throughout the 1970s. The song evolved into Kiss's most recognizable piece and has remained their standard concert finale since 1976.
