Odessa is the Bee Gees' sixth studio album, a double vinyl LP released in February 1969 in the United States and March 1969 in the United Kingdom. The album featured distinctive red flocked cover artwork with gold lettering. While it achieved top ten placement in the UK charts and reached the top twenty in the US, critical reception was mixed. However, the album is now widely considered one of the group's most important works from the 1960s. The project was conceptually ambitious, originally designed as a concept album centered on a fictional ship's loss in 1899, though creative differences and disagreements over single selection created internal band conflict.
