John Lennon composed this track and created multiple demo versions during 1979 and 1980, initially combining it with another composition called "Real Life." The sixth demo version was released after Lennon's death in 1988 as part of the Imagine: John Lennon documentary soundtrack. Subsequently, in 1995, the three surviving Beatles members—Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—reworked a different version as part of The Beatles Anthology initiative, alongside another song titled "Free as a Bird."
