This rhythm and blues track was composed and released by the American musician Ray Charles during 1956 on the Atlantic Records label. The song was later included on his self-titled debut album, which came out in 1957, also under Atlantic Records. It achieved considerable success on the rhythm and blues charts, reaching a peak position of number five on the Billboard R&B rankings. The composition was loosely inspired by an earlier work titled "Get It Over Baby" by Ike Turner from 1953.
