This song by the British rock band was issued as the secondary track on the "All You Need Is Love" single during July 1967. It began as an incomplete composition by Lennon called "One of the Beautiful People," which McCartney subsequently completed by composing a chorus section. The track is notable for its use of a clavioline keyboard instrument, an early predecessor to synthesizers, with Lennon operating the device on an oboe setting to produce a sound reminiscent of Indian musical instruments. The recording and mixing occurred at Olympic Sound Studios in London, marking a significant milestone as the first Beatles EMI recording fully produced outside of EMI Studios.
