Memory cover

"Memory" was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Trevor Nunn, drawing from T. S. Eliot's poems. Created for the 1981 musical Cats, it serves as the show's climax and most recognizable number. The song achieved significant mainstream popularity beyond the musical itself. A musicologist noted in 2006 that it is considered by some to be the most successful song ever written for a musical.
