All Summer Long represents the Beach Boys' sixth studio album, released in mid-July 1964 through Capitol Records. The album is recognized as their first cohesive artistic statement and among the earliest examples of a concept album. Unlike their previous work, it moved away from vehicles and wave-riding as central subjects, instead drawing from the personal lives of young people living in Southern California.
