G.I. Blues is Elvis Presley's third soundtrack album and seventh overall release, issued by RCA Victor in both mono and stereo formats in October 1960. It accompanies the 1960 film of the same name starring Presley. Recording occurred in April and May 1960 at Hollywood studios. The album achieved the number one position on the Billboard Top Pop Album chart for ten weeks and earned gold certification in 1963 and platinum in 1992.
