King Creole is Elvis Presley's second soundtrack album, released by RCA Victor in September 1958 following the film of the same name. The material was recorded over four days at RadioRecorders in Hollywood and was created specifically for the film. The album reached number two on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. It had previously been distributed as two separate EP volumes, with the first volume achieving number one status for thirty weeks on the EP charts. The album earned Gold certification in 1999.
