Elvis's second studio album was released by RCA Victor in October 1956, featuring recordings from multiple sessions in Hollywood and New York. The album achieved significant commercial success, spending four weeks at number one on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and becoming the first by any artist to have both their first two albums reach number one in the same year.
