"Bang-A-Boomerang" was composed by ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus along with their manager Stig Anderson. The song was initially recorded as a demo with English lyrics in September 1974 for ABBA's self-titled album, with an earlier working title of "Stop and Listen to Your Heart." Svenne and Lotta, a duo, became the first to record and release versions of the track in both Swedish and English, with their rendition arriving in 1975.
