The Black Crowes

The Black Crowes are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984. Blending rock, blues, and southern influences with jam band sensibilities, the group signed to Def American Recordings in 1989 and released their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, in 1990. Their second effort reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart in 1992. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, they released several albums including Amorica, Three Snakes and One Charm, By Your Side, and Lions, though these did not achieve the commercial heights of their earliest work. Following a hiatus, the band returned to recording and released Warpaint in 2008, which charted at number 5 on the Billboard 200.
