"Bertha" is a rock song by the Grateful Dead written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. The track was released in September 1971 as one of three newly recorded songs on the band's second live album. The version included on the album was captured during a performance at the Fillmore East in New York in April 1971 and serves as the album's opening track. The song later appeared as the B-side to another single the following year.
