6 Gig was an American rock band from Portland, Maine, known for blending alternative rock and nu metal styles. The group built a dedicated following by performing regularly throughout New England's club circuit. They released two studio albums and multiple singles, establishing themselves with a music video for "Hit the Ground" that achieved rotation on MTV2. During their tenure, the band experienced lineup changes, parting ways with drummer Dave Rankin and welcoming Jason Stewart to the kit prior to the "Mind Over Mind" release.
