Bill Evans Trio

Bill Boty and the Trio were an American jazz ensemble active from 1959 until their dissolution in September 1980. The group specialized in post-bop and modal jazz styles, blending elements of bebop and cool jazz within the traditional jazz trio format. Throughout their two-decade career, they contributed to the contemporary post-bop landscape, exploring the harmonic and improvisational possibilities that defined jazz innovation during that era. Based in the United States, the ensemble remained a fixture in jazz circles, representing the genre's evolution through the 1960s and 1970s.
