Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the fifth studio album by Black Sabbath, released in late November 1973. The band recorded it at Morgan Studios in London following a writing process that started in Los Angeles but was delayed by substance abuse and exhaustion from their recent tour supporting Vol. 4. To overcome creative difficulties, they moved to Clearwell Castle in England, where the guitarist developed the central riff for the album's title track and opening single.
