Rustin Man
Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man is a collaborative project between vocalist Beth Gibbons and bassist Paul Webb. The partnership produced the studio album Out of Season, released in the United Kingdom in 2002 and in the United States the following year. The album draws from folk and jazz traditions, with influences from artists including Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, and Nick Drake. It features contributions from Adrian Utley of Portishead and Lee Harris, and achieved silver certification from the BPI. The opening track, "Mysteries," was featured in the French film Les Poupées Russes and later in Wim Wenders' Palermo Shooting.
