"Get on the Good Foot" is a funk composition performed by James Brown, released in May 1972 through Polydor Records as a dual-part single. The track achieved significant chart success, reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot R&B chart and number 18 on the Hot 100. It was also included on a same-titled album released that year. The song became Brown's first gold-certified record, partly because his previous hits had not been certified by record labels. Billboard ranked it as the 99th song of 1972, and Rolling Stone later placed it at number 15 on their 2022 list of greatest dance songs.
