Sedaka initially recorded the song for his 1969 Australian album Workin' on a Groovy Thing, which was subsequently distributed in the United Kingdom under an alternate title, Sounds of Sedaka. The track later appeared in the British market as a supporting song to the single "Ebony Angel," which was issued by MCA Records.
