The Beau Brummels were an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1964. The group's lineup featured Sal Valentino, Ron Elliott, Ron Meagher, Declan Mulligan, and John Petersen on drums. Discovered by local radio personalities, they signed to Autumn Records, where producer Sylvester Stewart—who would later become known as Sly Stone—helmed their initial sessions. The band's early sound combined beat and folk influences, drawing frequent parallels to the Beatles, though their subsequent recordings expanded into psychedelic rock and country rock territories. Active through 1968, the Beau Brummels remained influential figures in the folk-rock and pop-rock landscape of the 1960s.
