The Beatnuts is a hip hop production duo and group from New York City. Comprising JuJu, a Dominican American from Corona, and Psycho Les, a Colombian American from Jackson Heights, Queens, the group has been active since 2000. Originally formed as a trio, the ensemble later became a duo after Fashion, subsequently known as Al' Tariq, departed to pursue a solo career. The group maintains informal connections to the Native Tongues collective and has collaborated with notable figures including Q-Tip. V.I.C. also contributed to the group's production work during its early years.
