The Pussycat Dolls

The Pussycat Dolls are an American girl group and dance ensemble originating from Los Angeles. Founded as a neo-burlesque performance troupe in 1995 by choreographer Robin Antin, the group transitioned into a mainstream pop act in 2003 following a record deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records. The lineup featured Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt. Known for their blend of pop, soul, and dance music, the group gained prominence in the mid-2000s with chart success and critical recognition. Their early work included a cover of "Sway" featured on the 2004 film soundtrack for Shall We Dance?.
