Wall of Voodoo
Wall of Voodoo was an American rock band from Los Angeles, California that emerged in 1977 and dissolved in 1989. Though they remained largely obscure throughout most of their career, the band achieved mainstream attention with their 1982 single "Mexican Radio," which gained traction on MTV and alternative radio stations. The group distinguished itself through surrealist songwriting that drew heavily on imagery and themes associated with the American Southwest, blending rock with electronic and new wave elements to create a distinctive sound within the post-punk and alternative rock landscape of the 1980s.
