Final Straw is Snow Patrol's third studio album and their first major-label release, issued in the United Kingdom in August 2003 and in the United States the following year. The album marked a turning point for the Northern Irish alternative rock band, establishing their initial breakthrough into mainstream markets beyond their home regions. Five singles were released from the album over approximately fourteen months. The record introduced lead guitarist Nathan Connolly and represented the final album with bassist Mark McClelland.
