Silver Bullet Band is an American rock group known for their contributions to pop rock, folk rock, heartland rock, and country rock. Led by vocalist and songwriter Robert Clark Seger, the band became one of the most prominent acts in heartland rock, characterized by Seger's distinctive raspy voice and storytelling approach. Their catalog includes numerous hit songs addressing themes of love, relationships, and working-class life. Notable tracks include "Night Moves," "Turn the Page," and "Like a Rock." The group achieved significant commercial success, with songs such as "Shakedown," written for the 1987 film Beverly Hills Cop II, reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Seger also co-wrote the Eagles' number-one single "Heartache Tonight" and had "Old Time Rock and Roll" recognized as one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.
