Barclay James Harvest is an English progressive rock band formed in Oldham in September 1966 by Les Holroyd (bass, vocals), John Lees (guitar, vocals), Mel Pritchard (drums, percussion), and Stuart Wolstenholme (keyboards, vocals). The group became known for blending progressive rock with folk, art rock, and symphonic elements, achieving recognition across multiple genres including psychedelic pop and classic rock. Following an initial split in 1998, the band's legacy continued through successor projects, establishing them as a significant act within the progressive rock landscape of the late 20th century.
