The Big Wu

Big Wu is a rock jam band from Minnesota, formed in 1992 and featuring Al Oikari, Andy Miller, Chris Castino, Mark Joseph Grundhoefer, and Terry VanDeWalker. The group gained prominence in the jam band scene during the late 1990s and early 2000s, establishing themselves as one of the Midwest's earliest jam bands to achieve national recognition. Known for melody-driven compositions, Big Wu built a dedicated following through extensive touring, with fans forming a community that identifies as "family." The band hosted the annual Big Wu Family Reunion festival each Memorial Weekend from 1998 to 2006, and continues to celebrate with Wu Years Eve performances on New Year's Eve. Since 2006, the group has limited touring, focusing on periodic shows throughout Minnesota and neighboring regions.
