"Mrs. Robinson" is a track from Simon & Garfunkel's fourth studio album, Bookends, released in 1968. Paul Simon wrote the song, initially developing it before the 1967 film The Graduate, which featured only partial versions. The complete single was released in April 1968 through Columbia Records. Simon offered the song to film director Mike Nichols after other compositions were rejected. The Graduate's soundtrack included two abbreviated renditions, while a dedicated EP was issued later that year containing this track alongside three other songs from the film.
