Banda El Recodo is a Mexican regional mexicano ensemble established in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, in 1938. The group, whose full name is Banda Sinaloense El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, specializes in banda sinaloense, a brass-driven style of traditional Mexican music. Throughout its decades-long career, the orchestra has remained under the stewardship of the Lizárraga family. The ensemble has collaborated with prominent Mexican artists including José Alfredo Jiménez and Juan Gabriel, solidifying its status as a significant figure in the banda music tradition.
