Little Creatures is the sixth studio album by Talking Heads, released in mid-1985 through Sire Records. The album explores American cultural themes and incorporates country music influences, including steel guitar elements. It received critical acclaim, winning album of the year at The Village Voice's Pazz & Jop poll, and became the band's most commercially successful studio release, selling over two million copies domestically. The album cover, created by outsider artist Howard Finster, was also recognized as album cover of the year by Rolling Stone.
