Zen Café

Zen Café was a Finnish rock band formed in Turku in 1992, drawing their name from Robert M. Pirsig's philosophical work at the suggestion of bassist Kari Nylander. The group's original lineup featured vocalist Samuli Putro, guitarist Mikko Oesch, and drummer Tuomo Mäkipaavola. Following personnel changes, Pete Parkkonen joined as drummer, while Oesch departed. The band released their final album Stop in 2006, after which they entered an extended hiatus. Though never officially dissolving, the group is unlikely to reunite.
