Ween

Ween is an American rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania, formed in 1984 by Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo, known professionally as Gene Ween and Dean Ween. Recognized as pioneers of alternative rock, the duo built a reputation for their unpredictable and vastly varied musical output, drawing inspiration from funk, psychedelia, soul, country, gospel, progressive rock, R&B, heavy metal, and punk. Their approach to songwriting blends irreverent humor with musical eclecticism, resulting in a distinctive catalog that defies easy categorization. The band remained active until August 2024.
