Videodrone, originally known as Cradle of Thorns, is an American rock band with roots in Bakersfield, California. Founded in 1988 by vocalist Ty Elam, the group initially released their debut album independently before securing a deal with Triple X Records. In 1998, the band underwent a name change to Videodrone and joined Elementree Records, the vanity label of the band Korn, releasing their self-titled fourth album in 1999. Following a brief disbandment, the group reunited under their original moniker Cradle of Thorns from 2007 to 2015.
