Bachman–Turner Overdrive is a Canadian rock band that emerged from Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1971. Originally performing as Brave Belt, the group consisted of brothers Randy, Robbie, and Tim Bachman alongside Fred Turner. Throughout the 1970s, the band achieved significant commercial success, releasing seven top-40 albums and producing eleven top-40 singles in Canada. Their hard rock and boogie rock sound resonated globally, earning them over 30 million album sales worldwide. BTO secured six platinum and one gold certification in Canada, along with five gold and one platinum certification in the United States. Iconic tracks such as "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," "Takin' Care of Business," and "Let It Ride" remain staples of classic rock radio. The band cultivated a devoted fanbase affectionately known as "gearheads," cementing their legacy in rock history.
