UP SyNDROME
Up Syndrome is a 2001 American documentary that explores the lives of individuals with Down syndrome. Directed by Duane Graves, the film premiered at the 2001 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, before being acquired for distribution by CineClix and subsequently made available to audiences in the United States through Amazon Prime. The project, developed by lifelong friends, earned recognition from the National Down Syndrome Congress, which awarded it the National Media Award in 2002. The documentary's cultural significance was further affirmed when it was selected for inclusion in the permanent archives of the United States Library of Congress in 2009.
