The Trashmen

The Trashmen were an American rock band formed in Minneapolis in 1962, known primarily for their 1963 hit "Surfin' Bird," which climbed to number four on the Billboard Hot 100. The group's original lineup included guitarists Tony Andreason and Dal Winslow, bassist Bob Reed, and drummer Steve Wahrer. Operating within the garage rock, rock and roll, and surf rock genres, The Trashmen became notable figures in the frat rock scene of the early 1960s.
