Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is an American rock band from San Francisco formed in 1998. The group originally featured Peter Hayes, Robert Levon Been, and drummer Nick Jago, drawing from a diverse sonic palette encompassing alternative rock, psychedelic rock, garage rock revival, and noise rock influences. The band's sound blends elements of shoegazing, post-punk, and blues rock into a distinctive style. Following Nick Jago's departure in 2008, Leah Shapiro joined as the band's drummer, marking a significant lineup change in their ongoing career.
