The Swinging Blue Jeans were a British Merseybeat band that emerged in 1960 and remained active until 2010. Known for their energetic beat music sound, they achieved their greatest commercial success in the mid-1960s with hit singles including "Hippy Hippy Shake" (1963), "Good Golly Miss Molly," and "You're No Good" (both 1964). Their chart presence peaked with "Don't Make Me Over" in 1966. The group's original lineup featured singer and guitarist Ray Ennis, guitarist Ralph Ellis, bassist Les Braid, and drummer Norman Kuhlke. Following Ellis's departure in 1966, the band experienced extensive membership changes throughout the late 1960s and beyond, eventually resulting in a completely renewed roster by the time of their 2010 dissolution.
