The Style Council

Style was a British rock group active from 1983 to 1989. Operating across multiple genres including rock, jazz, pop rock, and classic pop, the band represented a versatile approach to popular music during the 1980s. Though their recording tenure was relatively brief, spanning six years, Style carved out a distinctive presence in the British music scene by blending rock foundations with jazz influences and pop sensibilities. Their genre-spanning work reflected the experimental cross-pollination characteristic of mid-1980s British popular music.
