Stock Aitken Waterman
Stock Aitken Waterman is an English songwriting and record production trio comprising Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman. Active from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s, the group became one of the most prolific and successful production partnerships in popular music history. Their output included more than 100 UK Top 40 hits, thirteen UK number-one singles, and three US number-one singles. Between March 1986 and October 1990, they maintained a remarkable presence on the UK singles chart, appearing in the Top 100 every week throughout that period. According to Guinness World Records, their work generated an estimated £60 million in royalties, cementing their status as major figures in 1980s pop music.
