Peter Shelley
Shelley Peter was a British pop singer and songwriter active from 1943 until his death in 2023. In the 1970s, he achieved chart success with hits including "Gee Baby" and "Love Me Love My Dog." Peter created the initial incarnation of Alvin Stardust, writing and producing the character's debut single "My Coo Ca Choo." Though another artist later assumed the Alvin Stardust identity, Peter remained instrumental in crafting subsequent hits for the persona, such as "Jealous Mind" and "You You You." Beyond his recording career, he was a significant figure in the music industry as a co-founder of Magnet Records and a music business executive.
