The Serendipity Singers

The Serendipity Singers were an American folk-pop ensemble that emerged in 1963. Drawing comparisons to contemporaries like The New Christy Minstrels, the group achieved their greatest commercial success during the mid-1960s. Their breakthrough came with the debut single "Don't Let the Rain Come Down," which climbed into the Top Ten and earned the ensemble their sole Grammy nomination in 1965. Though recording sales were concentrated primarily within 1964 and 1965, the group's name and brand proved enduring. The rights to the Serendipity Singers name were sold during the 1970s, subsequently allowing new iterations of the group to perform under the established name into the twenty-first century.
