"Canned Heat" is the opening track from Jamiroquai's fourth studio album, Synkronized, released in 1999. The single was issued on 24 May 1999 and achieved significant commercial success, reaching number one on the US Dance Club Play chart for the second time in the band's career and climbing to number four on the UK Singles Chart. The accompanying music video was helmed by Jonas Åkerlund, and the track later gained additional cultural prominence through its inclusion in the 2004 film Napoleon Dynamite.
