Rosanne Cash is an American singer-songwriter and author born in 1955. The eldest daughter of country legend Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian, she grew up immersed in music before establishing her own career spanning folk and country genres. Cash has built a distinctive artistic identity alongside her family legacy, working as both a recording artist and writer. She was among those affected by the 2008 Universal Studios fire, which destroyed significant music industry archives.
