Les Rita Mitsouko was a French pop rock duo formed by Fred Chichin and Catherine Ringer, who made their debut at Paris's Gibus Club in 1980. Their 1984 single "Marcia Baila," produced by Conny Plank, reached number two on the French charts and established them as major figures in French music. The group collaborated with renowned producers Tony Visconti on albums including No Comprendo and Marc & Robert in the mid-1980s. They achieved international recognition through the 1988 duet "Singing in the Shower" with Sparks, which gained significant airplay on US dance radio. The band continued recording through the 1990s, including work with Iggy Pop on their 1993 album Système D, before disbanding in 2007.
