The Righteous Brothers are an American musical duo that emerged from the Los Angeles music scene in the early 1960s. Originally formed by Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, the pair initially performed as part of a five-member ensemble called the Paramours before transitioning to a two-person format and adopting their now-famous name. The duo achieved their most significant commercial success during the 1960s and 1970s, becoming prominent figures in the blue-eyed soul movement. After a period of inactivity, Medley and Hatfield reunited in 1981 and resumed performing until Hatfield's death in 2003. Bill Medley continues performing with Bucky Heard as the current iteration of the group.
